About the PresentersJeff Berndt
Jeff Berndt has been involved in Living History since 1994. He joined the reenacted King's, or 8th, Regiment of Foot in the year 2000. Since then, he has participated in countless reenacted battles as a British soldier. He has also appeared in the California Gold Rush video produced by Wall Street Productions, an episode of the Discovery Channel's Moments In Time series (Valley Forge: The Crucible) and as William Shakespeare at Sylvan Lake's annual Shake on the Lake Shakespeare festival. In addition to the King's 8th Regiment of Foot, Jeff is a member of the British Brigade, the Waterford Historical Society, Lakeland Players, and is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University. Jeff is proud to have been recognized at the State and Regional level by the National Society Daughters of Colonial Wars for his contributions to historic research, preservation, and restoration. Joe Smith has been involved in Living History since 2001; he joined the re-enacted King's or 8th regiment of Foot that same year. He also served for two years as the President of Walled Lake Central's Living History Club. Joe has been involved with the 8th and the British Brigade at many re-enacted battles including the 225th anniversary of the Battle of Saratoga. Joe has also appeared in the Discovery Channel's Moments In Time (Valley Forge: The Crucible). Joe is a graduate of Walled Lake Central High School and during his tenure there he participated in the Diversity Club, Living History Club, and the Model United Nations. Paul Kraase has been involved with different Living History groups since 1990, some of which include Viking, Medieval, Revolutionary War, and the War of 1812. He joined the reenacted King's or 8th Regiment of foot in 2002. Since then, Paul has taken part in numerous events with the 8th and the British Brigade as a Private Soldier. He has been presenting with Hands-on History since 2004. Paul is a graduate of Purdue University and Wayne State University. Back to top |
